THIS IS THE ENEMY, 1943. Linen Backed Original 1 Sheet (29 x 40” / 95 x 131 cm) folded Propaganda WW2 Poster. Nazis are the enemy. A powerful design of a swastika clad arm striking down the Holy Bible with a knife. This propaganda poster was an attempt to unite the Christian population in America by drawing attention to the Nazi attack on freedom of religion. The use of blood red in the background only serves to drive home the message with the use of color. This is the larger version of this poster which was also printed in the smaller 20 x 27″ format.

This Poster is in good linen backed condition. Prior to being linen backed this poster had a silverfish wormhole located down the middle, which has since been retouched, but is still slightly apparent near the hand. Ready to Frame.
