WIZARD OF OZ, 1939. Original Lobby Card Number 3 (11” x 14” / 36 x 46 cm) starring Judy Garland and directed by Victor Fleming and King Vidor. This lobby card depicts the scene just before the attack on the witch’s castle. The Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow can be seen in guard disguises, getting ready for battle. “The Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and the Straw Man – in disguise – prepare to attack the witch’s castle.”
This lobby card is in very good condition with some pinholes in each corner and minor scuffing along the margin and minor scratch marks in the background. There is in wax crayon the numbers 5/151 overwritten on the original NSS numbers 49/140 suggesting this card was left over from the 1949 re-release and reused for the 1955 re-release.
