WIZARD OF OZ, 1939. Original Lobby Card Number 7 (11” x 14” / 36 x 46 cm) starring Judy Garland and directed by Victor Fleming and King Vidor. This lobby card depicts the scene in the Haunted Forest, when the cowardly lion is introduced by jumping out to scare the rest of the crew, only Dorothy sees right through his tough act. “A Lion acts tough in the Haunted Forest – until a little girl proves he’s really a coward.”
This lobby card is in very good condition with some pinholes in each corner and minor scuffing along the margin. There is in wax crayon the numbers 5/151 overwritten on the original NSS numbers 49/140 suggesting this card was left over from the 1949 re-release and reused for the 1955 re-release.
