10,000,000 Members by Christmas, 1918. Original American Red Cross poster dating from World War 1 (WWI) (20 x 30” / 66 x 98 cm) originally rolled and now linen backed. Designed by C. B. Falls (1874-1960) for the Red Cross organization in 1918 and published in time for Christmas with the caption “..on Christmas eve a candle in every window and Red Cross members in every home”.
Originally rolled this poster had a 4′ tear in the upper part of the cross prior to backing. Otherwise the poster has great color and no other defects.
