MARTINI TORINO, 1970’S. Original Italian Advertising Poster (27 x 39”), (89 x 100 cm) originally rolled and now linen backed. This poster features an elegant woman with a wide-brimmed hat and flowing garments, raising a glass of Martini Vermouth. The first printing of this poster is estimated to be around 1910, with later re-prints, such as one in 1957 and a third edition in 1965. Martini & Rossi, founded in Turin, Italy, in the mid-19th century, was a pioneer in producing vermouth and later gained fame for the Martini cocktail. This poster is a notable example of early 20th-century Italian advertising art.
