AVENGE DECEMBER 7, 1942. Original Linen Backed (29” x 40” / 74 x 102 cm) WW2 propaganda poster originally folded and now linen-backed. Designed by Bernard Perlin, 1918-2014 for the Office of War Information, this propaganda poster was published in 1942 and is one of the more iconic images of WW2 showing a sailor punching his fist out to the observer in act of revenge amid a burning ship in Pearl Harbor.
