KING KONG ESCAPES, 1968. Original folded 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) Movie Poster starring Rhodes Reason and Linda Miller and directed by Ishirô Honda. This film is the fourth entry of the King Kong franchise, featuring an evil doctor who builds a robot version of Kong, named Mechani-Kong; built to dig for Element X, a highly radioactive mineral found only in the North Pole. After Mechani-Kong is unsuccessful, the doctor abducts the real Kong from Mondo Island in hopes of finishing the job, but his attempts at controlling Kong fail. Kong escapes and swims to Japan where he battles his robot doppelganger.
This poster is in good folded condition with some pinholes and creasing along the margin, as well as a bigger tear along the right side of the margin.
