Back Him Up, 1944. Original rolled (40 x 60” / 102 x 153 cm) Second World War Poster designed and created by the General Electric Company. This massive propaganda poster advertised for more General Electric production by displaying an American G.I holding a carbine with a fierce expression on his face, with the familiar WW2 slogan “BACK HIM UP” and written below “with more GE Production. Interestingly, this 1944 poster has a little “Q+Q=V” caption as well, and this stood for “Quick + Quality = Victory”, which would become the company’s patriotic motto throughout the American involvement in the war.
