CHARLIE CHAN IN THE SECRET SERVICE, 1944. Original Rolled Insert (14” x 36” / 46 x 118 cm) movie poster starring Sidney Toler, Gwen Kenyon, Benson Fong and Mantan Moreland. Directed by Phil Rosen for the first of Chan’s movies for Monogram pictures. The movie was also notable for introducing Chan’s Number 3 son (Benson Fong) as well as Mantan Moreland as his soon to be chauffeur.

This poster is in fine C9 rolled condition with very bright colors and no damage or stains, Slight scuffing to the outer margins are the only notable flaw. Linen Backing is available for this poster for an additional $60

Linen Backing a poster on canvas requires three essential elements; Linen which is marketed as Cotton Duck:, acid free Japanese Lining paper and a Wheat starch solution containing an alkali buffer which when used together provide a stable acid free environment for mounting a poster.

Linen backing is first and foremost a preservation and stabilization technique. It preserves the integrity of old and valuable paper and assures the poster can be safely handled and displayed.
