Original folded 1 Sheet (27 x 41″) hot rod,motorcycle gang drive-in movie theater poster for sale, starring; Yvonne Fedderson, Gary Clarke, Fay Wray, director David Bradley and author of the original story and screenplay George Hodgin. This beautiful hot rod poster for this 50s drive-in AIP pictures classic was also known as “The Reckless Age”. The poster is valuable for several reasons, (1) it features a beautiful 57′ corvette, (2) the artwork is stunningly dramatic and A-typical for Hot Rod Posters and (3) it has the already world famous actress Fay Wray, who starred in the monumental film from 1933 “King Kong”. The teenage delinquency theme set on a beach where the evil motorcycle gang wrecks havoc and murders one of the characters, was directly influential to what is largely considered the first surfer movie “Beach Party”. No matter the history of this incredible 50s’ drive-in style movie poster, the artwork just oozes coolness and would look incredible on any wall of any house, man cave, game room, trophy room, etc!
This original Dragstrip Riot, hot rod movie poster for sale is in fine to very fine condition. It shows only minor imperfections to note; all 4 corners were folded over at one point the edges on the left margin shows some tattering and there are some light blemishes along the margin on the left side. There is virtually no wear along the fold lines and the rest of the poster is clean and crisp.
