G.I. BLUES, 1944. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) folded Movie Poster starring Elvis Presley as Tulsa McLean and Juliet Prowse as Lili; a Hal Wallis production. McLean is a specialist US Army soldier who is stationed in Germany who loves to sing and has dreams to start his own nightclub once his deployment is finished, so McLean pulls some strings to stage a big show for his fellow GI’s. He also bets his friend that he can date a club dancer named Lili, who is known as an “ice princess” and rumored as hard to get, but ends up falling for her instead. Song highlights from the movie include “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Wooden Heart”, and the title number. “Swing out and sound off with Elvis Presley in the red, white and blue star-bright show of the year!”
This folded poster is in good original condition, but has the following quality remarks: paper loss throughout the poster from previous mishandling when mounting and unmounting the poster including multiple pin and staple holes throughout the poster and there are 2 chips of paper missing from top and bottom right corners.
