GOOD THE BAD & THE UGLY, 1968 . Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 89 x 135 cm) formerly folded and now linen backed Movie Poster starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach. Musical score by Ennio Morricone and directed by Italian director Sergio Leone this film soon became a western legend and was certainly the best of the so called spaghetti westerns! So much atmosphere you can feel the flies buzzing around while the anticipation grips the viewer. ”For three men the Civil War wasn’t hell. It was practice!” This unusual version of the poster was probably used on military bases located internationally and is a late 60’s re-release judging from the paper and print.
This poster was in poor condition prior to backing with stains and printing ink “shadows” which sre still visible from where the poster was folded before it was fully dry from the printing. We have cleaned the poster as much as possible prior to linen backing. If you like the spartan appearance of the design and simplicity of the poster then this would be a rare version to acquire for this very popular cult western.
