I CONFESS, 1953. Original Vintage 1 Sheet (27″41″) movie theater poster for sale and starring, Montgomery Clift, Anne Baxter, Karl Malden Director Alfred Hitchcock and writer George Tabori.The movie was based on a little known play from 1902 called “Nos deux consciences” by Paul Anthelme (aka Paul Bourde). Little is known about any performances of the play.
This classic Hitchcock poster is in very good to fine condition, with vibrant colors, but does show some imperfections. The bottom vertical margin is torn, there is cross fold separation and numerous pin holes. It would immensely benefit from linen backing and these blemishes would all but vanish with minor touch-up to the cross folds. Non paper is missing.
