JIGSAW, 1949. This original 1 sheet (27 x 41″) Film Noir Mystery movie theater poster that is for sale is starring; Franchot Tone, Jean Wallace, Myron McCormick and writer / director Fletcher Markle. This original film brought to theaters at the end of the 40s was also known as “Gun Moll ” in the USA after it was re-issued. The film noir, mystery movie itself is not known for its well faceted plot line, its wonderful script, or straight to the chase message. It was a mixed confusion of plot elements and its original message slightly indicating anti communism McCarthyism and the soon to take America “second red scare” (1950-1956) was utterly lost to the public by mal-direction.
This beautiful original film noir, mystery movie theater poster that’s for sale is a beautiful rendition for the genre. This condition is very fine and only has 1 pin hole sized hole at the top crossfold and a minor stain that can be repaired easily during the linen backing process that is located underneath the downed body.
