THE LUCKY TEXAN, 1934. Original 1 Sheet 1940’s Re-Release Movie Poster (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) originally folded and now Linen Backed; produced by Paul Malvern. This movie stars the famous John Wayne as Jerry Mason, a young Texan college graduate who becomes partners with an old family friend, Jake Benson, to strike it rich with a gold mine. Unfortunately, when they returned to town with their gold, they make the mistake of trusting the local assayer, who trail Benson back to the mine and shoot him. Mason is then arrested for the murder, but no-one knows that Benson somehow survived and is planning a surprise for the real culprits at Mason’s murder trial. “Where life was raw and might was law!” “A Lone Star Western Re-Release”
This poster was originally folded in fair condition and has now been Linen Backed. As you can see from image, this poster had normal margin wear in top right; minor paper loss on cross folds, and a moderate amount of color retouching was done along the folds and cross folds.
