Lufthansa Near and Middle East, 1960’s – 70’s. Original linen-backed (25 x 39”), (80 x 128 cm) travel poster for Germany’s largest airline, Lufthansa. In the 1960’s many airlines began advertising new airplanes and travel routes, and this beautiful poster advertised for Lufthansa’s expansion to the Middle East. The artwork is very colorful and cultural, and depicts a common Middle Eastern market scene, with an outline of a classic Mosque in bold yellow coloring.
Poster is in good C7 condition. Poster was originally rolled, and does not have significant loss of color. Poster’s corners are sharp and margins are clean, and colors are bold and clear. Poster has been linen-backed in house, and is ready to frame!
