NIAGARA, 1953. Original Half Sheet (22” x 28” / 72 x 92 cm) originally folded, now paper backed movie poster starring Marilyn Monroe, Joseph Cotten, and Jean Peters. Directed by Henry Hathaway and produced by Charles Brackett. “A raging torment of emotion that even nature can’t control!” This film noir thriller stars Marilyn Monroe as Rose, the young beautiful wife of an older man, George. The two go on vacation to a cabin near Niagara Falls where they befriend another couple on their honeymoon. The newly wedded wife suspects that things between Rose and George are rocky, but her husband thinks she is being presumptuous. Her suspicions are confirmed when she sees Rose with another man. Things between Rose and George soon take a dark turn.
This originally folded, now paper backed poster is in excellent C9 condition with very bright colors and no damage or stains. Some light retouching has been done along the fold lines. One slight scuff mark is faintly visible near the top-center of the poster. Virtually flawless.
