On Les Aura!, 1916. Original rolled French Waorld War 1 poster (32 x 45” / 105 x 148 cm) depicting an infantryman leading his comrades on to battle with the rallying cry On Les Aura! or Lets go and get them! This image was perhaps the most recognizable image during the Great War and was later adopted for use in World War 2 by the US. This poster encouraged the viewer to subscribe to the 2nd National Defense bond in 1916.
This poster was photographed behind clear film and the white glare is reflection not on the actual poster. The poster is in very fine, original rolled condition.
