ROAR OF THE CROWD, 1953. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 89 x 104 cm) Linen Backed Movie Poster starring Howard Duff and Helene Stanley; Directed by William Beaudine. In this racing film, Johnny Tracy is working his way up in the racing world, but his sweetheart Marcy Parker is pressuring him to give up the track if he wants to marry her. Johnny gets injured in a qualifying race and becomes a not-so-good spark plug salesman for a family friend. Marcy changes her mind about the racing and Johnny qualifies for the Indianapolis 500. “Danger-packed romance…whirling across America’s thrill-scorched speedways!”
This poster was in fairly good C8 condition prior to linen backing with minor color loss along fold lines, small pin holes in all 4 corners and along some margin edges, minor cross-fold separation at all 3 points, and a small chip missing from bottom right margin near corner. All above conditional issues have been remedied nearly invisible with our linen backing process. Please click on image to zoom in and inspect for yourself. Ask us about framing this poster!
