Robbins Bros. Circus, 1920s Vintage Advertising Poster

Robbins Brothers Circus (c. late 1920s) Poster (27 x 40.5” / 69 x 103 cm).
Operating during the 1920s and 1930s, the Robbins Brothers Circus was a popular attraction that toured mostly throughout the midwestern United States and was owned by Fred Buchanan. Robbins Brothers Circus struggled financially in 1931 and ultimately sold their equipment and assets to new buyers for a reimagined railroad circus which opened under the Cole Bros. Circus name in 1934. Depicted here on this outstanding stone litho advertisement for the Robbins Bros. Circus are the train cars used for the circus which housed “Wonders From All Parts of the World” and features an audience of onlookers as they take in the spectacle of elephants, camels, zebras, horses, and more!

Prior to linen backing, the poster showed only very minimal fold wear and a minute scuff/tear near the top border and within the “c” in Circus.
