SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, 1939. Original One Sheet (27 x 41”), (89 x 125 cm) originally folded and now linen backed movie poster for the Real Art Re-Release in 1953. Starring Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, and Basil Rathbone and directed by Rowland V. Lee, this film is third in line of the Universal Pictures’ Frankenstein series, following the 1935 film Bride of Frankenstein. In this film we return to the ancestral castle, where Dr. Frankenstein’s son happens upon a mad shepherd who is hiding the monster’s unlively body. The son attempts to clear his family’s name by bringing the creature back from the dead.
This poster was originally folded with some age toning along the margin and fold lines, but has since been linen backed and is in excellent condition!
