STAR WARS, 1977. Original rolled NPR Radio Broadcast release poster 17 x 29 (“Special Poster”) for sale starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness, Peter Cushing, and director/writer George Lucas. “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” Artist Celia Strain made this beautiful poster that features the highly sought after the character “C3P0”. The artwork is fantastic with C3PO speaking into a microphone with Tie fighters in the background. This is an extremely rare poster and difficult to find in any condition whatsoever, let alone very fine condition as this one is. The poster was used to advertise the saga’s run on National Public Radio (NPR), to whom Lucas sold the rights for 1 dollar. It contained 13 episodes, voice acted by Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels.
This NPR Radio Broadcast poster is in very fine condition and doesn’t show any major defects to note. Along the top margin, the right corner was crinkled. The rest of the poster is pristine.
