STAR WARS, Episode IV: 1977. Original authenticated rolled Insert (14 x 36″) NSS movie theater poster for sale, starring; Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness, Peter Cushing, and directed by George Lucas. “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” This Insert poster comes in two versions both considered original. The first version is the 1977 released NSS version labelled 77-21 (the version for sale in this listing) and there is the 1982 video release containing identical artwork and size with the only difference being the absence of the NSS information. Hard to find and getting more expensive with every passing year!
This particular original insert movie poster for Star Wars was originally painted by Tom Jung and is in very good condition and has been linenbacked at our studios. This poster has two minor imperfections to note along the right margin. Please zoom in for a closer look- they are barely noticeable!

Authentication Tips:
This NSS theatrical insert poster is exceedingly difficult to authenticate if you don’t know what to look for. The reproduction is identical to this original insert movie poster in all ways except the following.
- Art work is cropped – some of the tie fighters are cropped out (See below figure red arrow)
- The coloring is reddened
- They can appear minty white
