Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) folded Movie Poster starring Danny Kaye; co-starring Glynis Johns, and Basil Rathbone; written, produced and directed by Norman Panama and Melvin Frank. In this classic musical comedy, Kaye plays as a carnival performer, Hawkins, who must infiltrate the King’s castle by masquerading as the court jester as part of a plot against an evil impostor to the throne of the British Empire, Roderick. Although Hawkins is able to persuade Roderick and his men that he is the real jester, the story gets complicated when the Princess Gwendolyn falls in love with him. Considered by many to be the funniest of the Danny Kaye movies.
This linen backed poster was in good condition prior to linen backing though the lower right corner was missing a chip and staple holes were repaired during backing; the poster now displays very nicely.
