24 HEURES DU MANS, 1968. Original Motor Racing Advertising poster for the 1968 French Le Mans 24 hour endurance race (16 x 24” / 52 x 78 cm). This poster was printed for the 36th annual event of the race held between September 28th and September 29th at the famous Le Mans racetrack in France. This poster depicts a Ferrari 250M and a Ford GT40 taken just after the start of the race with the crowds looking on from the grandstand. The Ferrari 250, Number 20 shown on the poster finished in 23rd place while the green Ford GT40 finished in 104th. The two Corvettes and the Lola in the background did not complete the race which was not unusual at Le Mans.
Originally rolled but at one time lightly folded this poster is now linen backed and in fine condition, another ideal choice classic car fans!
