SYNCOPATION, 1942. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 40”) (89 x 131 cm) folded Movie Poster starring Adolphe Menjou and Jackie Cooper and directed by William Dieterle. This Musical film explores approximately twenty-five years of American syncopated music history—including jazz, swing, blues, and ragtime. Prominently featured at the top are legendary jazz musicians chosen from a Saturday Evening Post poll. These icons include Charlie Barnet, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Jack Jenney, Gene Krupa, Alvino Ray, and Joe Venuti.
This folded poster is in okay condition with chipping, tearing, and creasing all along the margin, as well as some tearing along the fold lines and face of the poster that require retouching. There is also some minor staining along the top of the margin. Linen backing is recommended as it will aid in repairing any chips and tears, as well as ridding of the fold lines. Linen Backing and the addition of color to the fold lines is available for an additional $100 upon request or by adding the service to your cart below.
