Dementia 13, 1961. Original horizontal format version Australian Daybill (13 1/2″ x 30 1/4″) movie poster for sale starring William Campbell, Luana Anders, Bart Patton and director/writer Francis Ford Coppola and producer Roger Corman. The film is also known as “The Haunted and the Hunted” hence the title difference apparent on this poster.
This black and white was the director Coppola’s very first movie and was extremely risque for the time period. This would be a GREAT horror poster to add to any Horror, Science Fiction or Coppola collector’s collection. It will likely see growth in value as this is to rare and to cool. “makes psycho look like a Sunday school picnic!” This particular Australian day bill is in a very rare horizontal format. The artwork is menacing and completely different from the standard Australian day bill style.
Superb artwork on this Daybill and in finer condition aside from a major defect to note. There is writing on the back with a red pen that has bled through to the front on the right vertical margin. It can only superficially be covered up if the poster is linen backed. Because of the wonderful condition the rest of the poster is in and the fantastic artwork, it is highly recommended to take this approach.
