DETOUR, Original Vintage Film Noir Movie Poster directed by Edgar Ulmer

DETOUR, 1945. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 89 x 135 cm) folded Movie Poster starring Tom Neal, Ann Savage and Claudia Drake and directed by Edgar G. Ulmer. Detour was the sleeper of 1945 becoming perhaps the best low budget film (<$100,000 and shot in 3 weeks!) of all time and certainly one of finest crime noir thrillers to ever be made. The story based on Martin Goldsmith 1939 novel about a down and out musician who hitches a ride to California to track down his ex. Along the way the driver of his ride accidentally dies and he assumes his identity only to be discovered by an attractive girl (Ann Savage) who also caught a ride with the deceased driver. “He went searching for love…but fate forced a detour to revelry…violence…mystery!
