FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE, 1965. Original Linen Backed French Grande Movie Poster 47” x 63” (119 x 160 cm) designed by Jean Mascii for the 1965 Sergio Leone western starring Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef and Klaus Kinski. “The man with no name is back” in this second installment in a series of Leone “spaghetti westerns” that have now achieved cult status. Set in El Paso, Texas two bounty hunters team up to target an escaped convict that culminate in a good old-fashioned showdown in the wild west.

This poster is linen backed and in excellent condition with some spots along the border that have experienced loss of color.

Linen Backing a poster on canvas requires three essential elements; Linen which is marketed as Cotton Duck:, acid free Japanese Lining paper and a Wheat starch solution containing an alkali buffer which when used together provide a stable acid free environment for mounting a poster.

Linen backing is first and foremost a preservation and stabilization technique. It preserves the integrity of old and valuable paper and assures the poster can be safely handled and displayed.
