This poster has text in Flemish and French, two dialects in Belgium. A classic sci-fi tale about a futuristic space crew that investigates a colony on a nearby planet, and finds a deadly robot! Among the very best of the sci-fi cult classics of the 1950’s and the first of the movies to introduce Robbie the Robot to the silver screen.
Belgian posters are among the most colorful and artistically beautiful in movie poster collecting world. What they lack in size are more than made up by their artwork. For those with limited space this format is ideal. Like their US cousin the Window Card they usually have a white space at the top to provide show times and location of the movie and like Window Cards this space is often missing. Quite often there is a tax stamp and/or a snipe placed over the poster.
This poster is in very good C8 condition, and has been linen-backed. Poster shows some signs of wear in the margins but overall a fine example of this highly desirable poster.
