In this 70’s crime drama, Jimmy Doyle (Hackman) and Buddy Russo (Scheider) are New York City detectives on a narcotics detail, tracking down the source of heroin being brought into the U.S. from Europe. They stumble onto a drug smuggling job with a French connection – a French drug kingpin who provides a large portion of New York City’s dope.
