This classic and beloved story written by Margaret Mitchell comes to life in one of the most popular movies of all time. Set in 1939 during the Civil War the daughter of a plantation owner in Georgia has a controversial romance with a businessman and profiteer. The most magnificent picture ever! By far a triumph to Hollywood movie history, The movie first released in 1939 has been re-released to theaters several times over the decades to new audiences. This particular version was released in 1954, fifteen years after the initial release and is more scarce than the more recognizable version of the 60’s.
This poster is in very good C8 condition, it was originally folded and is now linen backed and prepared correctly for framing. There is a small remnant of a snipe in the bottom right corner which can be removed upon request it states in very small letters “Gone with the Wind One Sheet”
