In this anti-heroic western, a Stranger (Eastwood) rides into the town of Lago, a dusty mining town where the townspeople live in the shadow of a dark secret. After a deadly shootout, the leaders of the town pay the Stranger to stay and protect them from the ruthless outlaws about to be released from prison – they have unfinished business in Lago and the Stranger is waiting for them in the shadows. “They’d never forget the day he drifted into town.”
