LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, 1962. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) folded Movie Poster starring Peter O’Toole as “Lawrence”, Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn, and Jack Hawkins; Directed by David Lean. This film follows a brilliant, complex and controversial British military man who’s been labeled a hero and a sadist for his actions in WWI. The soldier’s story is filled with conflicted loyalties while he leads the Arabs in raiding the Turks for two years. Won “Best picture of the year!” and “Winner of 7 Academy Awards – Best: Picture, Direction, Cinematography (color), Music, Art Direction (color), Editing, and Sound.
This folded poster was in fairly good C7 condition and had paper loss along top left and bottom left margins and in all 4 corners. The problem margins and corners have been replaced with vintage paper during linen backing but evidence of the work is noticable with closer inspection.
