Les Alpes, 1966. Original rolled (25 x 38” / 82 x 125 cm) travel poster for the internationally famous French railway company SNCF advertising for the Alps as a destination of travel. Labelled “Les Alpes” [The Alps], this gorgeous poster designed by Jean Jacquelin beautifully and artistically depicts a town on the mountainside, and advocates for travel by train and autocar [coach]. Since 1966, SNCF has grown tremendously around Europe.
This poster is in almost mint C9 condition. This poster is rolled and in near mint condition. Poster has some creasing, with slightly rough margins in some areas, but is overall in fantastic condition. Linen-backing would help ease the poster onto a more stable background, and make it ready to frame!
