MARIE WALEWSKA, 1937. Original Half Sheet (22” x 28” / 72 x 92 cm) This movie, also known as Conquest, is based on a real woman, the mistress of France’s first emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte. In this historical drama she is used as a chess piece for Poland in order to grant their independence.
This poster is in excellent condition with some creasing along the margin as well as some minor foxing along the bottom right edge. This poster is paper backed which is a similar process to linen backing that is occasionally used for heavy stock posters like half sheets, inserts and lobby cards. Ready to frame!
