Produced by Arthur Freed. This film adaptation of the Broadway musical of the same name features three sailors who let loose on a day of shore leave after docking in New York City. They only have twenty-four hours to look for fun and romance before they must return to duty.
On the Town was an instant success. It won the Academy Award for Best Music Scoring of a Musical Picture, and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Cinematography.
This rolled poster is in very good C8 condition with very bright colors and no stains, although there is creasing throughout the poster. All edges of the poster are backed with tape. a tear near the center of the left side has been repaired with tape. There is also a v-shaped tear near the top of the right side that has been repaired with tape. We recommend Linen Backing for this poster for an additional $60.
