TITANIC, 1953. Original Insert (14” x 36” / 46 x 118 cm) folded movie poster starring Clifton Webb, Barbara Stanwyck, Robert Wagner, and Audrey Dalton. Directed by Jean Negulesco and produced by Charles Brackett. A rich socialite boards the Titanic along with her two young children intending to escape her unloving marriage, and high society life. Her husband also arranges to board the ship, in hopes of reconciling with his wife. After the ship strikes an iceberg, their marital problems are soon dwarfed by the impending doom of the sinking ship. Although overshadowed by the blockbuster of 1997 this often forgotten movie was actually the fourth film made about the disaster but the first one made by Hollywood including big name stars.
This beautiful poster is in very good C8 condition with very bright colors and no stains, although the fold lines are still faintly visible. There is a small chip missing on the right margin and minor small nicks on the right margin repaired on the back with archival tape. Linen Backing is available for this poster for an additional $60 and this will remedy all these issues.
