RIO LOBO, 1970. Original French Medium Movie Poster for the french version of the movie starring John Wayne; Directed by legendary director Howard Hawks. In this movie, Wayne stars as Colonel Cord McNally, an ex-Union officer who teams up with two ex-Confederates to track down the criminals behind a gold heist. Their quest brings them to the town of Rio Lobo, where they learn that this little Texas town is ruled by a corrupt sheriff and ruthless outlaws. McNally and former enemies rally the townspeople to rise up against the corruption and help recover the town while they also locate the criminals they were searching for.
This french movie poster was designed by René Ferracci (1927–1982) who was one of the pioneers to introduce collage/photo-montage into his poster designs; mixing colored illustrations with black-and-white photography (or vise versa) and use offset printing techniques. This special French poster measures 24″ x 30″ (79 x 98 cm) and is in very good original folded condition with only vertical fold.
