TWA IRELAND, Original Vintage David Klein Airline Travel Poster

TWA Ireland 4589TWA IRELAND, 1960s. Original Vintage TWA Airline Travel Poster (25 x 40” / 82 x 131 cm) designed and illustrated by David Klein. This poster is from the many that Klein designed during the 1950’s and 1960’s for Howard Hughes Trans World Airlines (TWA). This specific illustration features a composition of Gouache/Mixed Media style images of the iconic castles in Ireland. The artist used a split-complimentary green and blue color-scheme for the background and castles with some splashes of reds and oranges for a strong visual contrast. We also see a large jet flying overhead where poster reads, “Fly TWA Jets” “Up up and away, TWA”

This poster is originally rolled in good C8 condition and has only 1 minor quality issue – please click image to zoom in and analyze for yourself. There are some minor tears and wrinkling near the bottom  right corner portion of poster due to previous rough handling when poster was rolled. There are also minor pin holes in all 4 corners. Overall this poster has a beautiful artistic look to it and would look great once Linen Backed. Linen Backing is available upon request for an additional $80 and would render these faults unnoticeable.
