This is the Mylar 1st Advance 1 sheet that was in fact the first poster released to theaters advertising Star Wars and featuring the tag “coming soon to your galaxy this summer”. This posters rarity is matched only by its historical significance. This first poster symbolizes the first gleams of excitement transmitted to an eagerly awaiting audience. This 1st relaease was originally a mylar or also known as “silver foil” and is made out of a shiny foil like paper which is infamous for becoming damaged easily. In addition, this first release has the original style “W’ Lucas and their marketing team nearly decided on as forever representing this momentous film.
The second release advance teaser can be found here and is different by the fact the paper is matt colored normal poster paper and the STAR WARS logo assumed its finally approved style.
Mylars are rare, finding them in even good to fine condition is rarer. This particular original 1st release advance star wars mylar poster is in fine condition and shows mainly wear in the form of general wrinkling and border wear. There are no pinholes or other condition issues to note and this beautiful advance release poster is a fantastic piece to invest in.
