Directed by Nathan Juran and produced by William Alland. Staying true to the 1950’s giant monster movie theme, The Deadly Mantis features a 200-foot-long praying mantis who wreaks havoc on New York City after being released from the Artic by a volcanic blast.
To create the special effects of the film, a model of the mantis was built out papier-maché. It measured a whopping 200-feet by 40-feet, had a 150 foot wingspan, and was fitted with a hydraulic system

This folded poster is in very good original C8 condition and is wonderfully illustrated. The colors are vivid with no staining. The top left edge shows some creasing, and there is a tear off of the top left vertical fold line. There is also some creasing along the bottom edge of the poster, and the edge is slightly roughed up. The fold lines and creasing can be flattened through our linen backing process. Linen Backing is available for this poster for an additional $80
