WILD BUNCH, 1969. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) linen backed Movie Poster starring William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Ryan, Edmond O’Brien, Warren Oates, Jaime Sánchez, and Ben Johnson; Directed by Sam Peckinpah. This western film is set in Texas and Mexico in 1913, a transitional year for the Old West giving way to the New West. A group of aging outlaws are in search of one last big score, a bank robbery. This ends in a bloody shootout and a realization for the men that times are changing and they must abandon their outlaw ways. Unfortunately, they cannot just walk away from their crimes. “Unchanged men in a changing land. Out of step, out of place and desperately out of time.”
This poster was in good original C7 condition prior to linen backing, but did have some minor color loss along fold lines, some light staining near top of poster image and in top right corner; no pin holes.
