WOMAN THEY ALMOST LYNCHED, 1953. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) Linen Backed Movie Poster starring John Lund, Brian Donlevy, Audrey Totter, and Joan Leslie; Directed by Allan Dwan. Originally based on a story featured on a Saturday Evening Post, a town called Border City, settled on the Missouri-Arkansas border, professes its neutrality during the Civil War. But when a stagecoach is attached by raiders who kill the Union soldiers escorting the passengers into town, the mayor decides to send Union forces to rid the city of these raiders. “Kate Quantrill…rode like a man..fought like a man..killed like a man…and LOVED like the beautiful woman she was!”
This poster was in fair C6 condition prior to linen backing, with color loss along fold lines; margin edge wear; fold separation; paper loss, cracking and tears in top and bottom margin near center folds and the top right and bottom left corners. Fortunately, most of these imperfections were fixed and remedied nearly unnoticeable and now poster is ready to display!
