LA DOLCE VITA, 1960. Original Linen Backed French Grande Movie Poster 47” x 63” (119 x 160 cm) from the release in France La Douceur de Vivre. It is also known as “The Sweet Life”. This film by Federico Fellini won best director Academy award, 1 Oscar and 6 other wins and 12 nominations. The film starred Marcello Mastroianni, Anita Ekberg, Anouk Aimée and was not only directed by, but was also written by Federico Fellini.
This poster was originally folded with some slight pin hole size separation at 2 of the cross folds as well as being slightly miss folded which can be seen on the upper and lower horizontal cross folds. There is a natural patina to the paper that is normal for a poster of this age. It has since been linen backed and is in excellent condition.
