Directed by Michael Anderson and produced by Michael Todd. “It’s a wonderful world, if you’ll only take the time to go around it!” Around the World in 80 Days is a vastly entertaining travelogue based on the 1873 Jules Verne novel of the same name. David Niven plays Phileas Fogg, an English gentleman who makes a staggering £20,000 wager with several skeptical fellow members of the Reform Club that he can travel around the world in 80 days. He sets off on his whirlwind adventure with his butler Passepartout (played by Cantinflas), by his side. The film has several star-studded cameos such as Frank Sinatra, Marlene Dietrich, and Buster Keaton, and won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
This folded 1 sheet poster printed for the 1968 re -release of the movie to theaters is in good original C7 condition. The fold lines are pronounced, and show some minor color loss. There are two tears along the top edge of the poster, wrinkling in the bottom quadrant of the poster, and the tip of the bottom-right corner is missing.
