BEACH PARTY, 1963. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) folded Movie Poster starring Robert Cummings, Dorothy Malone, Annette Funicello, and Frankie Avalon. Written and produced by Lou Rusoff, and directed by William Asher. “It’s what happens when 10,000 kids meet on 5,000 Beach Blankets!” The first of seven “Beach Party” themed movies by AIP geared toward a teenage audience, and the first movie to star both Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello. Beach Party was a box office hit and outperformed its competition, which included, The Nutty Professor, Hud, and Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds!
This folded 1 sheet poster is in excellent original C9 condition. There is a small point of paper separation where the fold lines meet inside of the tagline box. The fold lines are visible, but there is hardly any color loss.
