Set in Jerusalem at the beginning of the 1st century during the time of Christ, Jewish prince Judah Ben-Hur is betrayed and sent into slavery by a Roman friend. The prince regains his freedom and comes back for revenge. The film won 11 Oscars and features one of the most famous action scenes of all time — the chariot race. “The entertainment experience of a lifetime!” One of the finest, historical, epic masterpieces to be brought to the silver screen and the second highest grossing film in 1959 after Gone With the Wind which was made in 1939.
