Cycles Guyot, 1910. Original French (25 x 37” / 80 x 120 cm) linen-backed Advertising poster. This poster is a beautiful advertisement for the “renowned Swiss brand, CYCLES GUYOT” [La célébre Marque Suisse, CYCLES GUYOT]. It displays a very elegant deco-style woman on a Guyot bicycle, overlooking a French or Swiss countryside. In the top left hand corner is the logo for the company at the time. This poster was historically significant for it’s post war portrayal of sophistication of French women. The publishing house for this poster was Affiches Gaillard in Paris, France.
Poster is in very good C7 condition, and has been linen-backed in house. The colors of this poster are beautiful, and poster was rolled so it does not display fold lines. Some slight creasing, and tearing and pinholes along the margins, but poster is superb and ready to frame!
