GOLD RUSH, 1925. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) folded re-release 1941 Movie Poster starring, written and directed by Charlie Chaplin – “with Music and Words”. In this silent and favorite Chaplin comedy, a lone prospector ventures into Klondike, Alaska during the Gold Rush, but runs into some brawny characters when he tries to take refuge in a cabin from the arising snow storm. The cabin is occupied by desperado Black Larsen who throws the prospector out, but the strong winds repeatedly blow this little man back inside; along with Jim McKay (another prospector). After a scuffle with a shotgun, the men must live together uneasily in the cabin in the storm, while their hunger grows. “The World’s Great Laughing Picture”.
This folded re-release poster is in good original condition, but has the following condition review: very minor color loss along folds, a quarter sized chip is missing in lower left corner, two tape stains; one in the top left and one in bottom right corner, and some slight cross fold separation.
This poster will look beautiful and all the above quality concerns will virtually disappear during the Linen Backing process. This poster is slated to be linen backed in the near future. For more information on linen backing please click here
